Freelance with over 12 years of experience, I'm helping teams build well-designed, efficient web apps. I specialize in crafting highly reusable UI components with React, Vue, and Rails ViewComponents, documented in clear, developer-friendly design systems using Storybook or Lookbook.
I recently collaborated with a AI-powered quality monitoring platform that helps contact centers evaluate customer interactions, gain conversation insights, and drive continuous coaching through automated dashboards and analytics . The project centered on rebuilding their product with a focus on usability, visual consistency, and maintainable component structure.
Starting with Figma design files, I audited and cataloged every UI color, then organized them into meaningful families: primary, secondary, alerts, and neutral tones. This approach provided clarity and consistency across the interface, making the styling both predictable and scalable.
From there, I mapped out the key UI elements: buttons, forms, dashboards, list items, modals, and alerts. I defined each component’s variations—by size, behavior, and contextual use case—while ensuring flexibility and composability in their props and visual semantics.
Next came the development phase: I built the entire component library using Vue.js and TailwindCSS. Each element was designed to be versatile—easy to configure via props, responsive by default, and visually coherent across variations. Storybook served as the living documentation hub: every component, state, and variation was represented in its UI explorer, with clear descriptions and prop controls for developers and designers to reference.
The outcome was a modular, reusable UI library that reduced duplication and visual drift and sped up future development. The Storybook instance made component adoption easy for designers, developers, and product teams to explore and understand the interface tools without digging into code. The design-to-code fidelity improved and the interface emerged more consistent and maintainable with better onboarding efficiency for any new developers joining the project.
Part of a developer collective, I collaborated closely with the backend team to deliver tailor-made MVPs and full-scale web applications for clients including BAM Ticket, Tingari, YouloveWords, Pando2, Kandu, etc.
Contributed to the development of their MVP by building a scalable front-end architecture and reusable components, designed from the start to support future growth and new features.b
Joined the MyQM team to work on the platform redesign, focusing on UX improvements and showcasing AI-powered features, while ensuring the front-end was scalable and consistent.
Collaborated with their backend team to improve the UI and UX by creating well-thought-out components and clear design guidelines for a more consistent product experience.
Led the first redesign of Yago's app (Seraphin at the time), gradually onboarding the tech team into front-end development. During the second redesign, helped the team build a well-documented component library, making the app more maintainable and consistent.
Part of Base Design's front-end team during their expansion into digital branding, where I helped create a strong yet flexible CSS framework inspired by Bootstrap and based on BEM syntax. Worked on projects for clients including Maison De Greef, Vervloet, Haus der Kunst, and Degroof Petercam.
